What to expect from your BER Assessment

Your BER Assessor will first visit carry out a non intrusive inspection of your home.

This will include surveying each room in the house and recording the dimensions of the walls, floors windows and doors as well as any ventilation present.

Details will also be taken on the heating systems, hot water storage and any renewable energy sources present.

Access will be required to any garage present as well as attic space in order to inspect the house insulation.​

In general, the on site inpsection should take no more than 1 hour.

Following this, the BER Assessor will then carry out the necessary calculations in order to produce the BER Cert.
