BER survey

What to expect from your BER Assessment

  • Your BER Assessor will first visit carry out a non intrusive inspection of your home.

  • This will include surveying each room in the house and recording the dimensions of the walls, floors windows and doors as well as any ventilation present.

  • Details will also be taken on the heating systems, hot water storage and any renewable energy sources present.

  • Access will be required to any garage present as well as attic space in order to inspect the house insulation.​

  • In general, the on site inpsection should take no more than 1 hour.

  • Following this, the BER Assessor will then carry out the necessary calculations in order to produce the BER Cert.
